Sleepy Puppy
Words and Music by John Wolfe Compton
Lying in the middle, of the floor
Frankie could barely, make it through the door
Her eyes open for, One last peep
Now her paws are dancing, In her sleep
Sleepy Puppy, I know you’ve had, Such a long day
Sleepy Puppy, Go rest your head, In your dog bed
Waking up, just to say hello
Just one pet, then Frankie turns to go
Crashing back into her crate
She’s a sleepy dog and it’s late!
Got to find a sunny place to rest
Open the door, the patio is best
Stretched out, snoozing in the sun
Frankie’s out cold before, the day has even begun
